A powerful fractional CO₂ treatment that rebuilds collagen and resurfaces skin for smoother texture, reduced scars and visible rejuvenation.

DEKA CO₂ DOT THERAPY

DEKA CO₂ DOT Therapy is an advanced fractional ablative CO₂ laser treatment that delivers controlled “dot-pattern” micro-injuries deep into the skin. These microscopic columns of laser energy remove damaged skin tissue in targeted spots while leaving surrounding skin intact. This stimulates collagen and elastin production and triggers the body’s natural healing response for deeper skin renewal and rejuvenation. This works by creating many tiny dots of ablated tissue. The healthy skin between the dots support quick healing. It penetraes much deeper than other modalities so it can address texture, scars (rolling, boxcar acne scars as wells as surgical or injury scars) and more pronounced ageing changes.

PRE AND POST CARE

To prepare for your DOT Therapy CO₂ treatment, avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for two weeks prior. Stop using retinol or any active skincare products 3-5 days before your appointment. It is important you arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup free skin as we need to take clinical images and apply numbing prior to your treatment. Avoid waxing and laser hair removal to the area for at least 1 week leading up to your visit. If you have a history of cold sores you are required to have an anti-viral prescription from your general practitioner before your treatment. This is a non-negotiable. Following these simple steps ensure you get the best and safest possible treatment.

After your DOT Therapy CO₂ treatment it is crucial to protect and hydrate your skin as it heals. At your consultation for your CoolPeel Co2 treatment we will go through in detail all of your post care instructions including how to use your post care kit that is firmly encouraged. This ensures you have the best possible outcome from your treatment. It is important that you do not wash your face for 6-8 hours post treatment and not to touch or pick. You can expect redness, swelling and possible oozing. Think of it like a really intense sunburn feeling. This will all subside in the following days.

DEKA CO₂ DOT THERAPY

FAQ'S

CO₂ DOT Therapy is designed to treat more advanced skin concerns including:

  • Acne scarring (rolling and boxcar scars)
  • Surgical or injury scars
  • Deep wrinkles and ageing changes
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Sun damage and pigmentation

Because it penetrates deeper into the skin, it is often recommended for more significant texture and structural concerns.

While both treatments use advanced CO₂ laser technology, they are designed for different levels of skin concerns.

CoolPeel focuses on more superficial skin resurfacing, improving concerns like fine lines, pores and overall skin clarity with minimal downtime.

DOT Therapy, on the other hand, penetrates much deeper into the skin. This makes it more suitable for acne scarring, deeper wrinkles, and more significant texture concerns, but it also comes with longer downtime as the skin undergoes deeper renewal.

Your clinician will recommend the most appropriate treatment based on your skin condition, goals and tolerance for downtime.

You can expect 7–14 days of downtime.

Immediately after treatment the skin will appear red, swollen and may feel like a strong sunburn. Over the following days the skin will begin to flake and renew, revealing smoother and healthier skin underneath.

Initial improvements can begin to appear around 4 weeks after treatment.

However, collagen continues to rebuild for several months, with optimal results typically visible around 3 months post-treatment.

A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to ensure comfort. During the procedure you may feel heat or a prickling sensation. After treatment the skin may feel similar to an intense sunburn for the first 24–48 hours, which gradually settles as healing progresses.
