PRE AND POST CARE

If, after a thorough consultation, your practitioner determines that a volume restoration treatment is appropriate for your needs, you will be provided with tailored preparation instructions. In general, it is advised to avoid alcohol, aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications, and blood-thinning supplements such as fish oil, vitamin E, or ginkgo biloba for at least 24 to 48 hours before the procedure, unless these are medically necessary. This helps reduce the risk of bruising. We also recommend arriving with clean, makeup-free skin and avoiding intense exercise or heat exposure such as saunas on the day of your appointment. Be sure to inform your practitioner of any recent dental work, illnesses, medical treatments, or vaccinations, as these may affect your treatment plan. Your clinician will provide specific guidance during the consultation to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Following a volume restoration treatment, you may experience some mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites. These effects are normal and usually resolve within a few days. To support optimal healing, it is best to avoid touching or applying pressure to the treated areas for at least 24 hours. We also recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and exposure to heat such as hot showers, steam rooms, or saunas during this time. Makeup can typically be worn the next day, unless advised otherwise. You should avoid any skin treatments or facials for at least one week post-treatment. Your practitioner will provide detailed aftercare instructions specific to your treatment and skin type, and you will be encouraged to contact the clinic if you notice any unusual symptoms or have concerns during your recovery. Results typically develop over one to two weeks, with follow-up appointments offered to assess your progress if required.
